Engineering and Tool Design

Every JPT tool starts in engineering. Our team designs special indexable tooling around the customer’s part, machine, and process, then manufactures, assembles, and inspects it in the same building. That single-source approach keeps design intent, manufacturing, and quality under one roof. Learn more about our custom engineering.

Materials

JPT machines and grinds tool steels, alloy and hardened steels, cast iron, aluminum, and carbide. We also design special tooling for customers machining titanium, Inconel, and other difficult alloys.

Quality and Inspection

All work is performed under our ISO 9001:2015 quality management system, certified by BSI. Critical features are verified on our Zeiss CMM, and tools are preset and checked with our Zoller presetter, electronic height gages, and shank gaging, with dimensional reports available on request. See our quality page and download our Capability Statement (PDF). JPT is registered on SAM.gov (CAGE 1TES8). For industry resources, visit the Society of Manufacturing Engineers.

    The JPT Way

Most tooling problems aren’t solved by buying off the shelf. They’re solved by understanding the application, the machine, and the process — then engineering the right solution.

Cutting tools. Fixturing. Complete production solutions. That’s been the JPT way since 1971. No catalogs. No guessing. Just engineering.
